This shouldn't be stressful |
It is public knowledge that university is not easy, difficult to enter and difficult to stay in because that's basically the point, you have to be good enough to stay in and you will be the best when you got out. I don't think that that's completely incorrect because the world is sadly a competition and want it or not, we are stuck in this system, which makes students feel afraid of studying. We're told that we must produce and the study program is based on that, it's for you to be "successful" so that justifies the difficulty, but there are actually a few changes that I would like to do on my study program because its made to be good for you but it really turns stressful and depressing. Now, in my first semester, I have four main classes, calculus, mechanics, chemistry and laboratory techniques.

I honestly like to have them, it's not tedious to me, but in my life, I've never been one the smartest students, always in the middle, not the one with the best grades but they were good after a few tries, so the problem that I have had all my life is that I do learn, but is after I do the test, my grades aren't really the best ones, I understand that I have to make an extra effort on it and I'm really doing it but it's not easy to change something that you have had all your life in a few months, so I would change the study program on that part, I would be better if it doesn't begin so hard already, at least on the first semester because it's hard to adapt to all the changes that have been happening since we left school, new schedule, time of travel, new friends, new people, new everything so I would change that, a little bit more emphaty with the ones that are on they first year, the difficulty should grow as the time goes by and when we adapt a little bit better it would be a good time to make it more difficult.
I understand you so well, if the career were easy you could not tell that it's that you want to do in the future as a professional:(
ReplyDeleteThe first semester hits you really hard, this is so relatable
ReplyDeleteThe empathy is really important bit is sad that some people don't understand this
ReplyDeleteYou must stay calm! you will get used to it with time, the qualifications are just that, the important thing is what you learn :)
