Learnig English

Learning another language is not something really easy to do, it takes plenty of time and discipline to success on it because is not just talking, it requires a lot more of work, you have to understand and completely change in a lot of senses, not literally but you will think with other words so the things that you say or the way that you express perhaps will not be the same that you would say on your mother tongue, so in someway your personality change a little and that's something hard to do, for me personally it seemed to be something impossible to do.

Resultado de imagen para learning languagesMy English teacher didn't believe that and she helped me to understand the basic, after that I learned most of the English that I know on my house, changing the language of children tv-shows, those shows had a low level because they were for kids so it was easier for me to understand when I didn't know too much, when the time started passing I began to get better and better and I don't know how but one day I started to understand what people were saying in English and without noticing it I started to think in English,  that's when I realize that I actually had reached a good level and knowing that got me very excited, it was an incentive for me to try to keep getting better.

The English classes are really enjoyable for me, now these days, with the sacrifice of time and energy that the university has, I don't have the chance to explore my "creativity" and writing is something that I don't do too often but I think we all should do, express ourselves is a good way to relieve the amount of stress that we carry on our shoulders.

Changes to my study program

Resultado de imagen para stressful university
This shouldn't be stressful
It is public knowledge that university is not easy, difficult to enter and difficult to stay in because that's basically the point, you have to be good enough to stay in and you will be the best when you got out. I don't think that that's completely incorrect because the world is sadly a competition and want it or not, we are stuck in this system, which makes students feel afraid of studying. We're told that we must produce and the study program is based on that, it's for you to be "successful" so that justifies the difficulty, but there are actually a few changes that I would like to do on my study program because its made to be good for you but it really turns stressful and depressing. Now, in my first semester, I have four main classes, calculus, mechanics, chemistry and laboratory techniques.

I honestly like to have them, it's not tedious to me, but in my life, I've never been one the smartest students, always in the middle, not the one with the best grades but they were good after a few tries, so the problem that I have had all my life is that I do learn, but is after I do the test, my grades aren't really the best ones, I understand that I have to make an extra effort on it and I'm really doing it but it's not easy to change something that you have had all your life in a few months, so I would change the study program on that part, I would be better if it doesn't begin so hard already, at least on the first semester because it's hard to adapt to all the changes that have been happening since we left school, new schedule, time of travel, new friends, new people, new everything so I would change that, a little bit more emphaty with the ones that are on they first year, the difficulty should grow as the time goes by and when we adapt a little bit better it would be a good time to make it more difficult.

Questions that everyone should ask themselves at least once...

Buying pets
I think that if pets couldn't be sold a lot of problems would solve at once, abandoned dogs and cats could perhaps have a home, the abuse that a lot of pets have to deal with when they are trapped in a little cage will stop, the "micro-traffic" of pets would also stop, a lot of people buy or stole expensive pets to make them have puppies and then sold them, so if we couldn't buy pets there would be no point in doing any of those things.

Climate change
This honestly should be one of the things that everyone should be worried about, our planet is dying (because of us) and we don´t have anywhere else to go. Climate change is going forward unbelievably fast and we need to do something about it, the livestock industry and the products it generates are responsible for 51% of methane gas and those gases increase the greenhouse effect, one of the causes of global warming, so a good way to help without doing that much of an effort is to stop eating those products, if we can´t stop eating meat at least stop eating in fast food companies, If we all stopped buying that food I really think that would make a difference and plus we wouldn't continue keeping those companies alive and our bodies will thank us.

Immigration
If it was up to me frontiers wouldn't exist, empathy makes us humans and Latin America is known for the level of resilience that it has so we all should fight, learn, cook, dance, and talk with each other.
And seen in a politic way, a grown person that comes to produce and consume is an addition to the economy, so I don't see the problem, and to be fair Chile is known for export the famous "lanzazo" and other crimes to other countries so the "they come here to steal" argument it's not very valid on my point of view.

Human body

I still can't finish understanding how the human body can sustain and manage itself, if you really think about it, the way that it works and all the things that it's capable to do are mind-blowing. My  favorite part of all the things that the human body has are definitely the senses, being able to see someone, to touch and feel something, to taste a good dish of noodles is honestly what makes the difference between being alive and actually living, there is a huge difference between existing thanks to all the process that the human body does, and using those process to live your life, for example, I´m a musician (not a really good one but I try), the human body gave me the motor skills and the capacity to externalize what I want from my brain to my hands.

To play music, that's important but not enough, to be a good musician you have to be able to feel the music that you are playing, in a weird way, its a mix between most of the senses, because you can feel by hearing, hear by seeing and see by touching.

The principal sense of those is the audition wich is the ability to perceive and detect sound by vibrations through our ears, the vibrations are traduced to nerve impulses and transmitted to the brain, we are able to hear thanks to that and we can lose it if we don't take care good of our ears, so on my opinion hearing its a very important part of us, take care of it so we can still listen to music for the rest of our lives <3

Postgraduate course

Imagen relacionadaI don't know if I will going to do a postgraduate course because, to be honest, I haven't really think about what am I going to do in the future after I finally graduate, now is easy to say that I would like to keep studying something related to my career, but six years from now, I will be more tired and I don't know if I will have the same energy so it is not on my plans to study on a postgraduate course or something like that, besides there are a lot of courses and I have trouble choosing anything so it will be hard taking just one, but if I really have to choose there is one that catches my attention, its a postgraduate diploma in food management, quality, and safety. The course basically wants to give the specialists better management of scientific knowledge and prepare them with all the things that the production of safe and quality food requires.

The course is twice a week (two or three times per week, depends on the course that you take) here in the same faculty from 18:00 to 21:00 on the afternoon,  but for being able to register on the course I have to already have my professional title, that means that I have to finish my career first so, until the moment of taking the decision comes, I have a lot of time to think about it.

What would be your future job?

Resultado de imagen para ingenieria en alimentosA couple of years ago, what would be my future job was a important question that seems to be very difficult to answer and I had a lot of problems choosing what could it be, until one day my uncle talked to me about his job, he told me that he was a food engineer and he worked in a little company that made ice cream, his job was to make the flavour of the ice cream taste as much similar as possible to the flavour of the big marks, by modifying and playing with the chemical of the product making it taste more like the others. I honestly found that really interesting and I wanted to learn more so I started to investigate a lot about it and I completely fell in love with the career.

Thanks to what my uncle told me, I'm studying food engineering now and if everything goes right (and if I can pass calculus...) in the future I will be working on that, but first thing first, I  have to finish studying and after that, I would be finally able to work on it.
For now I'm not really sure about how I want to work specifically because there are so many options and ways to work as a food engineer, it goes from being indoor on a laboratory working like my uncle, to completely the opposite, being on the outside in a more demanding way, but everything will work fine for me because I love all of the options that it gave me, this is definitely what I want to do as my future job.

Tedy

Tedy posing for the picture
I have only had one pet in my life, a cute little dog named Tedy, it was a hybrid dog, his father was a chihuahua and his mother was a poodle (yeah... I have no idea how that happened), he came out completely white and very small, big hears like daddy and skinny like mommy, weird but cute <3
My mother brought him home when I was like five years old and since then we were inseparable, I used to spend a lot of time with him trying to teach him how to play and do tricks but honestly it didn't work out very well because motor skills weren't really his thing, but he tried his best and catching the ball with his face its almost the same that catch it with his mouth.
We spend together pretty much my whole life until he passed away a couple years ago. Saying goodbye was very sad but it was necessary, he spent his entire life being the best dog and trying to make me happy, that mission was very tiring and he did an amazing work so he deserved a rest.

Tedy being attacked by a dog
that he taught was his friend

I will always remember him like the best company that I could ever ask for. He looked like the chupacabras but he was my chupacabras and I loved him like that, I´m going to be forever thankful for how he helped me and I hope that wherever he is, he has finally learned how to catch that ball.
